My Bio
I've been married to the same guy, Dick, for 44 years. Have 2 sons, Rick, 40 and Mike, 39. I have 1 grandson, Austin, who just turned 12, and is the light
of my life. Still living in our "starter home", for 38 years. LOL When Dick was in the Army in '62 and '63, we started our married life
living in Frankfort, Germany. We visited Amsterdam and Paris while we were there. Always wanted to go back, but never happened and isn't likely to now.
Dick and I worked in the same bank and that's how we met. We eloped. (Long Story) and returned to this area after the Army and have been here ever since.
Was a stay-at-home MOM for 16 years, and my life pretty much revolved around my family. Football and Soccor Mom, Cub Scout Mom. Helped at school. Sunday and
Weekday Church School Teacher. The usual.LOL Baseball Mom. Can't forget that. I hardly remember my 30s and a lot of my 40s. LOL When I started to work
again, I didn't realize how much confidence I'd lost!! But I found myself again and worked up until 1995 when I retired. I worked for a greeting card
company servicing their depts. in different stores. I loved working with greeting cards and if I see a card out of place in a store I'm in, I can't
help but straighten it out. LOL That was considered part time. When the kids went to college, I needed a full time job. Went to work for a store that was a
News Center. In addition to many, many newspapers from all over, we carried lots and lots of magazines, books, gifts, candles, and all the things you would
find in a Hallmark Greeting Card Store. I was in charge of the greeting card dept., but got to know the whole store also. It was a unique store and I loved it.
Now my husband and I are enjoying our retirement very much. We do most everything together. His sense of humor keeps us sane. LOL and of course my meds, as I
am bi-polar. I wish I would have known a long, long time ago. It would have saved me a lot of heart ache. But that was then and this is now and I've never
felt better in all my life.

The other day a young person asked me how I felt about being old. I was taken aback, for I do not think of myself as old. Upon seeing my reaction, she was immediately embarrassed, but I explained that it was an interesting question, and I would ponder it, and let her know. Old age, I decided, is a gift. I am now,... -

Best Prayer I Have Heard In A Long Time... Heavenly Father, help us remember that the jerk who cut us off in traffic last night is a single mother who worked nine hours that day and is rushing home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the laundry and ...
